So let's begin the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for.

Yesterday was the three-year anniversary from when little Olivia first began to have cluster seizures.

So we entrust her to the intercession of Blessed Pauline Jericho for her complete healing and recovery.

And we have good news that it's been six weeks since her last cluster seizure.

So everyone, we're praying for little Olivia. Now let's call

to mind all of our own intentions and we'll pause for a moment. Blessed Salonas Casey and his motto, thank God ahead of time, are essential

for the uncertain times that we live in. In this meditation I want you to get to

know Blessed Salanas better and his spirituality. Salanas grew up in Wisconsin in the late 1800s.

He joined the Diocesan Seminary in 1894,

but the seminary was taught in Latin and German,

if you can believe that in Wisconsin at that time, two languages the son of Irish

immigrants could not grasp.

From this they concluded that Salanas was not smart enough to go on so they dismissed him.

Young Salanas, however, responded in a most remarkable way.

He surrendered his future to Mary, making a novena to her.

And on the last day of the novena, Mary appeared to him on the wall of the church and told

him to go to Detroit to enter the Franciscans there.
