The So yes, I grew up in a very tiny, teeny little town named Croswell, Michigan.

It is surrounded by cornfields and farmland, has one stoplight, surrounded by other tiny little,

desolate little towns. I grew up with a household of two of my mother and my father. I do have a sister, but she is 10 years

older than I am. So because of this, I very much felt like an only child growing up,

and I'm sure she had similar feelings until I came along. But because of this, I lived

very only child lifestyle.

My dad actually worked very long, strenuous hours when I was a child.

He would do this thing called swing shift, so he would work a week of nights or a week of days.

But regardless of what schedule he was on, I very rarely saw him because he was

working 12-hour shifts. I would be off at school for the majority of the day. And then when I would

return home, he would either be sleeping for his shift or just about to leave. So I very much

didn't feel like I saw my father very regularly as a child because he was

providing for his family.
