So today is August 18th, 2024, and it was August 18th of 2014, exactly 10 years ago today when I was on a cruise ship

in the middle of the ocean and we got the phone call that my grandmom was dying, basically

out of nowhere. So I just wanted to make a video today because I've just been doing a lot of reflecting this week, a lot of prayer this week.

And it's just kind of surreal to me, for one, that my grandmom has been gone this long.

Because it's like you blink and then a decade is just over.

I feel like growing up I always heard how fast time goes, how quick life is.

And you know, the Bible describes life as basically a vapor.

And the older I get, the more evident that truly is, especially since I became a mom

almost seven months ago and just how quickly my daughter has grown. The fact that this time

last year, I was just, I was pregnant with her and now in another

like, what, four or five months we'll be getting ready to celebrate her first year.

Like all these things, just overall the passage of time has been really just kind of wild for me to witness, not in a way that makes me fearful.

However, it's more just so in a way that is, you know, precious.

It's precious to observe.

And again, that word surreal, like it's surreal to observe. But it makes me appreciate

truly every day that I'm given. And I really don't want to waste time while I'm here. And that's

something that when I was in New Age used to stress me out a lot, like the idea of not wasting a single

day. And I think it's because I was afraid of my own mortality. I felt like I had to do something

to make a name for myself in the short time that I did have while I was here. I had to do something to make a name for myself in the short time that I did have while I was here.
