Welcome back my friends. I'm so glad that you're joining me for the morning mindset.

This is our opportunity to get our minds online with the truth of God for this day. Let me give you a scenario to

imagine for a moment. Imagine that you are one of the characters and one of those

courtroom dramas that you see on television. You are there, you're

hearing the people bear witness about what they've seen, what they've experienced

as it pertains to the case at hand, and you are actually not just there you are part of the jury.

You are one of those who is examining the evidence and hearing the testimony and is going to be rendering a verdict, a decision about guilt and innocence

based on what you hear and based on what you understand of the case.

Now as you fulfill that role as a juror,

you're going to have many witnesses brought in front of you,

and you have to be able to discern to some degree the

reliability of various witnesses now of course the attorneys are going to try to

either prop up the reliability of the witness,

if they've brought the witness, or if they're the opposing attorney,

they're going to try to tear down the credibility

of that witness through various means.

And you as a juror have to decide if you believe the arguments on either side and if that

witness is reliable. Now why am I talking about a courtroom situation and making you part

of the jury? Well it's because Jesus uses the term witness in the phrases and the statements in the passage we're going to

read today and I want us to have that context in our minds because it helps us

to understand better what he's saying.
