Today we are talking about the recent layoffs at Tesla.

Tesla stock on Wednesday finished the day up 0.59% to 344.

78 cents, this compared to the the NASDAQ down 0.11%.

It's been a pretty crazy week for Tesla stock.

Since the shareholder meeting, which the closing price that day was $291.13.

Tesla stock is up 18.5%.

I mentioned that I felt like the sentiment had shifted

around Tesla after the shareholder meeting,

and that seems to have been the case.

I think keeping an eye open for changes in sentiment like that is very

important in terms of near-term price action of Tesla stock. And again I'm

certainly no expert at that and I was surprised by the amount that we've moved

up so quickly but from the articles that were published after the shareholder meeting and specifically who they were published by, you could definitely see a change in the Tesla narrative at that point.

And just as when the stock goes down significantly rapidly, I think there's a bit of a

piling on effect that the stock price being up encourages more positive news on Tesla as the

media looks for reasons that the stock is up and that encourages more

people to buy into Tesla and encourages more short-term traders to jump in and I think

that that has a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. I think the big question is whether or not the sentiment

will change prior to Tesla being in the position that they want to be in with model 3 production
