important books. Malcolm, I think you and I first

connected when you were writing about ISIS as a cult, and we talked about the bite model.

But before we start, I just want to read your bio and let our listeners know what an amazing

background you have. First of all, you're the executive

director of tapestry, which stands for the Terror Asymmetrics Project on Strategy Tactics and

radical ideologies. We're going to circle back to why you called your company that.

But I want to state that you are a career counterterrorism and intelligence officer for the U.S.

government's special operations, homeland security, intelligence agencies with over 33 years in combating radical extremism.

Your honorably retired U.S. Navy Arabic-speaking intelligence collections operator,

field interrogator, survival evasion, resistance, escape specialist, and founder of the advanced terrorism,

abduction, and hostage survival school. You've spent more than two decades on clandestine

anti-terrorism and counterterrorism intelligence operations in the Middle East, North Africa,

I mean, you have walked the walk, Sir, and your latest book is

they want to kill Americans, the militias, terrorists, and the deranged ideology of the Trump
