Clarence Thomas recently has come under some fire because it was revealed that he has gone on, quote,

lavish vacations with GOP mega donors and just received gifts from them all the time and is

always going on crazy vacations. Yeah, this was more recently revealed because he got like caught

doing it. And the Republican response immediately, this isn't even that big of a headline given other events that have happened this week. Or maybe just because nobody has that much scrutiny for any of our elected officials or unelected officials. It's honestly kind of like old news that the Thomases are corrupt. We've been covering what Ginny Thomas. Ginny Thomas and the way that the Citizens United decision dates back to her being friends with some of the people that brought the case to the Supreme Court. And that's what I was going to say is that we've seen that Clarence Thomas and Ginny Thomas have been very corrupt. They've had moral implications, political implications for tons of cases that Clarence Thomas has ruled on. But also, you know, he's caught doing this with billionaires. The conservative response is immediately, oh, they're just hanging out with friends. Like, it's friends hanging out with friends. His friends just so happen to be GOP mega donors. Yeah. They just happen to be giving him enormous gifts of a huge price. It just doesn't matter. I agree politically with some of my friends. So I don't see how this can do anything here. Clarence Thomas can't just hang out with the

homies. Yeah. Everything's so political. Yeah, I know. God, guys, people with positions of political

power. Some of those powerful people in the country can have friends. It's almost like your

position of political power maybe transcends any friendships you may have. Maybe being one of the

most powerful people in the country, especially with like Morvee Harper coming up. Especially when you are friends with people whose opinions are directly harmful to democracy. And who, if you align yourself with, will undermine the very court that you're a part of. But that doesn't really matter. Yeah. That doesn't really matter. But AOC said she's going to introduce articles of impeachment that won't go anywhere.
