Is it better to let the calendar kill a bill rather than force a half-baked idea through without real debate, which is better.

I think about this because it's like, okay, if the calendar, we just didn't have enough time,

it kind of signals you're not getting anything done.

That's how it comes across, whether it's true or not.

But you also want to make sure that there's enough time for debate rather than have a bad idea pushed through.

You don't want them rushed either.

Yeah, but as I think our lawmakers have proven.

The only thing they're rushing is to get the Chicago Bears in Indiana.

Well, if they really want it and they can't get it done through the normal channels,

they'll just tack it on as an amendment and slam it through somewhere else at the last minute.

Well, with a committee deadline pass in the Indiana General Assembly,

several bills are now effectively dead because they weren't heard by the required committee, one of them being

the breaded tenderloin sandwich. Senate bill 21. It passed the Senate, never got a house hearing.

Another wasted year in the Indiana state legislature. We talked about it in 2025. They couldn't

get the official state sandwich through then. And here it is, 2026, and they still can't get the official state sandwich. So I did some research on this. Because I thought, well, because it seems silly and we have fun with it. I thought, man, it's a lighthearted bill. I was like, well, are we because that's what we need, lighthearted bills. Are we missing something? Does every other state have an official state sandwich? And they're like, Indiana, get on the game. What are you guys doing over there?
