In the aftermath of an affair, people can get stuck and it's been a year.

And he is still bewildered and confused and upset, as if it was just yesterday.

In my estimation, we had a very happy marriage, we had good communication, we had a good sex life.

So I was really blown away by this.

On one hand, I feel like I really understand why she did what she did.

On the other hand, there's a part of me that's still saying, how could you have done this to me?

He has felt in the grip of these surges of anger and he doesn't really understand them.

And he feels worse each time because they reinforce his fundamental belief about life,

which is that in the end, no matter what, you're always alone.

And he met this woman 10 years ago who gave him a glimpse and hope

that even though that was what he thought maybe didn't have to be this way.

So we met in July of 2006 in Spain.

So I was living in Spain, he was living in San Francisco, California and Richard Mew.

And then I moved to the US in December of 2006.

And he counted on her and she left him bereft.

I first discovered, of course, I discovered that with emails.

And then of course I read a whole bunch of emails.

And it's a terrible feeling to be angry and the feelings of hatred to somebody who you love and who you've created a family.
