Hello everyone and welcome to the Girls' Camp podcast. I'm your host, Haley Rawl, and I am so glad to be back.

You can tell Jesus that the bitch is back, baby. I am feeling so refreshed

after taking a month-long break. I have so many thoughts, feelings, opinions, things to share with you.

I decided the very first day I went on break to start a note and whenever anything

occurred to me, when I noticed something, when something happened that I wanted to talk to you

about, I wrote it down. And we are going to be going through that note today, covering big things,

small things, Mormon religious related things, not Mormon religious related things.

We just have a lot to catch up on.

First things first, I want to talk about not only my break, what it was like to take a break

for a month from the podcast for my first time since starting the podcast, but also the idea

of taking a break generally, the privilege of taking a

break. Obviously, I was thinking a lot about this anyway as I decided to take a break and I took a

break. And I recently did a Sunday check-in on Instagram where people can ask me anything,

tell me anything. And I got this message.

I'm a little thrown off by your summer break, in quotes.

Maybe I wouldn't be if you acknowledged the immense privilege associated with taking a full

month off work.

But watching your stories connecting with motherhood, also in quotes, as though your job

doesn't already allow for

this 1,000 times more than most just off pudding. When I initially talked about taking a break

here on the podcast, to be honest, I very intentionally downplayed it. And I did that because
