Hey there, TechFan listeners. Welcome to TechFan number 230.

Apologies that this show is a week late. Unfortunately, I was not able to do a show last week.

My son Alexander was going to join me on the show and we were all set ready

to record and then he was taken ill and I thought he had to spend a couple of days in hospital.

He's okay now, fully recovered, I'm glad to say and so he has been able to join me for a show this

week. I've already pre-recorded a segment with him that I will put into the show after our

mid-show break.

It was a good time actually. He had some interesting things to say, some interesting

perspectives on what he's been up to in the worlds of technology and gadgets. So yeah, I hope

you'll enjoy that. But before I do that, I wanted to discuss a few other things that have been kind of going

on the tech industry.

I've been trying to put some of these things off because I really want to talk them through

with Tim, but it's still going to be a couple of weeks before Tim can join us again on

the show because of his travel schedule. And obviously since I last spoke to Tim, there's been the release of the Apple TV and the iPad Pro.

The Microsoft Surface book I think also came out during that period.

And you know, the tech industry as always is moving forward.

So I know Tim is

very excited about the Apple TV and I'm looking forward to discussing that with

him I yeah I'm definitely going to buy one myself but I'm not sure quite when I

might actually leave it to round about Christmas time before I get around to getting one set up.

I'm waiting to see kind of how the app store evolves around the Apple TV.
