Hey, everybody. Thanks so much for tuning into TechVive Radio tonight. Wednesday night. This is Jonathan Kirsting with the Pittsburgh Technology Council. And tonight's show is going to be a lot of fun. I'm warning you ahead of time because tonight's show is 100% coming to you from Demo Day 2019. And every time Demo Day happens, which is almost once a year, we're invited

to go backstage and talk to really what are Pittsburgh's newest technology company. So

Demo Day is this awesome event. It's really become a staple of Pittsburgh's technology ecosystem,

put on by Innovation Works and its accelerators, Alpha Lab and Alpha Lab gear.

And basically, you know, there are people who are building tech companies.

They apply to hang out and be part of this program in order to really take their companies to the next level.

It's pretty intense.

And after I think it's probably three or four

months of going through the program, they go out to Demo Day in order to actually kind of

introduce themselves to Pittsburgh, which is just so exciting. It really brings out the Who's Who

in Pittsburgh in order to meet and learn all about these brand new tech companies. There's also

some manufacturers in there as well, too, and some product companies.

Really just a neat slice of what's happening here in Pittsburgh's tech ecosystem.

And I love being able to go backstage and actually talk to the women and the men behind these companies.

It's so much fun because they're just coming off at their presentations in front of like 500 people. And so they're usually, they're pretty pumped up. It gets me pretty

pumped up. And so I just like learning a little bit more about the companies and kind of why they

decide to start these companies and what it was like going to the program. And so tonight we're going

to be talking to 12 or 13 of these new companies, and I really can't

wait to bring this to you.
