It is Friday which means it's time for Marketplace Tech Bites our week in review.

This week startups are taking longer to go public or sell to a buyer.

What does that say about the state of tech right now. Also the dating app Bumble once

courted female users by letting them make the first move will explain why

But first, Discount Retail Giant Walmart announced this week it's shutting down its

telehealth business, as well as its network of low-cost health clinics.

There were 51 of those clinics scattered

across five states throughout the country. They were part of Walmart's big push

into health care announced in 2019, so what happened? I asked Christina Farr, author of second opinion, a

newsletter all about Health Tech. Running a medical clinic is a very unique

skill set is not something that you can pick up easily just by hiring a few people.

And I've heard from just chatting with industry friends who've gone and actually been a patient within the Walmart clinic that it left a lot to be desired.

Look at what Amazon did. They bought one medical rather than building their own clinics from scratch.
