One of the recurring problems, mental and emotional problems of this very moment, this present moment,

is the despair and hopelessness that often comes with this feeling of

powerlessness. And when I go back to what I sort of grew up with, which was this deferential,

kind of like complicit liberal attitude of like, well, you know, unfortunately, the only way

we're going to get people safe abortions is if we make sure it's legal, that that feels really bad

right now, right? If you believe that, if you say the only way people in Texas are going to have

safe abortions is if we can convince the Texas

legislature to legalize abortion at every stage of pregnancy. You might very well say this

is impossible. I'm going to give up. Yeah. Because the odds of making that happen are low.

No matter how much money you want to send to a particular politician's campaign, the odds

of making that happen are low.

So for me to realize, just as you said, that like abortion, like a lot of health care has been over medicalized.

And again, just to give the caveat, it doesn't mean that there aren't people who will need surgical abortions.

Of course there are.

And it is imperative that we make sure they get those and that they are affordable and not

going to send them into deep financial debt or any financial debt. I don't want them owing a dollar.

Yeah. But but for me to like, I mean, I don't know. Maybe it sounds corny, but or just like overused. But for me to like, I mean, I don't know.

But for me, like to see what we can do for each other, like to just see what type of care we can give each other is really powerful.

And like I know that I am aware that Texas is criminalizing that too.

I may or may not have a history of not really obeying laws.
