Haley Rawl, and today we are talking about sex, drugs, and rated R movies. I feel like it's been

a while since we've caught up on where I've landed as far as standards and morals around some of

these big things that you have to navigate

when leaving a religion that pretty much did it all for you. So we're going to talk about

my current thoughts, my current, yeah, I guess standards, values how I approach sex, drugs, and rated our movies. I'm saying rated our

movies because it sounds catchier, but I'm going to be talking about media in general and like

the kind of media I consume where I draw the line. And we're also going to revisit some of the

Mormon churches standards around these things to remember from And we're also going to revisit some of the Mormon church's standards around these

things to remember from once we came for many of us, or if you're a never Mormon listening,

just for fun. Because boy, oh boy, is it always a strange thing to revisit some of these

standards that were taught by prophets that are in the church handbook

and realize how prescriptive Mormonism really was and then also realize how much I am still

learning around how I feel about these things. It is and should be a lifelong process, but reflecting on what I was

not only taught, but like really heavily indoctrinated to believe around some of these things,

I always find super fascinating. And it allows us to do some good old shit talk on the Mormon church.

As far as standards, values,

I feel like you first are kind of slowly wading into the waters and trying new things. And I was a

very slow mover, I think, with a lot of things. Like I wasn't the type of ex-Mormon that just

dove straight into drinking alcohol and to

watching pornography or things like that. It was a very slow measured journey. I don't think there's

a right way or a wrong way, but that's kind of how it was for me. And then after trying things,
