Hello everyone and welcome to the Girls Camp podcast Patreon, Girls Camp Unplugged.

We have a new look, a little bit of a new feel around here on the Patreon, and most importantly, we are doing a book club.

I'm so, so excited about this. I have been brainstorming ways to make this Patreon more interactive

and the book club just feels like the perfect thing. In case you missed it, our first book is called

The Book of Longings. I've had this on my list forever. I've had multiple people recommend it and just for some reason haven't gotten around to it.

And it is, in a nutshell, a feminist retelling of the New Testament from the perspective of Jesus' fictional wife.

If that doesn't hook you, I don't know what will. Our topic for today, though, is ethics and

values. We are having an ethics and values seminar. One of my very favorite episodes of the office is

when they have an ethics and values seminar, so I like can't stop thinking about that as I've been

preparing for this episode. I have noticed a lot of things come up in my life where I have found

myself in a sort of moral dilemma. And it got me realizing that in deconstructing my faith,

I've talked a lot about and I've explored, okay, what do I believe

now? And I've explored that in the sense of, do I believe in God? Do I believe in some energetic

force? Do I believe in reincarnation? Do I believe in Jesus? Do I consider myself atheist or agnostic

or secular humanist or secular Buddhist. But what I have explored less

is what my own moral compass is and what my values are. I was actually talking about this today

in therapy. This topic came up of how I'm pretty frequently finding myself in these dilemmas.

And the one that is top of mind today is surprise, surprise, about a TikTok video.
