You know, really horrible stuff, but that sort of makes material a lot of the things that you're talking about in this book.

Because we're talking about insecurity, not just in terms of like financial insecurity, material insecurity, but like writ large pretty broadly.

This is a lens that's supposed

to be, I think, very malleable and usable in a way to kind of look at, you know, the

misallocated distribution and provisioning of resources globally that we live with, not necessarily

through the lens of inequality or focusing on

the kind of statistical distribution of those things, but of a more like sort of tangible

sense of like what it feels like to live in our political economy. And I think insecurity is

such a great way of trying to frame that, especially considering

how many things in capitalism we sort of frame under this like idea of securitization,

whether that's like health insurance or a mortgage or going to college and taking on debt to go to college.

And I think what's really cool about what you've done with this is that it's a book that's

about economics that, again, kind of refuses that actuarial regime of power that's so

easy to tap into when you're talking about the economy.

You know, you forego these like statistical comparisons for this more like emotional

and personal way of thinking about and talking about how we all relate to the economy and

each other. And I feel like this was probably really inspired by your work in debt collective.

So I hope that we get a chance to get into some deeper discussion of that work too.
