Just for people who are not familiar with your work, do you mind walking through a little bit

what your background is? I've read a lot of your work in the past on the kind of idea of

disability fakers and this idea of fraud, right? Which, for readers of health communism, this is a kind of idea

that Artie and I are very interested in researching the kind of idea of like how the role of the

malingerer works in terms of the way that we conceptualize our political economy. But sort of beyond that,

do you mind just sort of foregrounding what your general research is like and sort of what your work and background is?

Sure. And I wrote my dissertation about what I call fear of the disability con, which are perceptions of fraud and fakery kind of like what you alluded to with regard to the use of disability rights more generally.

So anything from social security benefits,

where I think people usually think about fraud and disability

to using disabled parking permits.
