I think that we have not done a good job of connecting the maternal mortality crisis.

I don't even want to call it a crisis. It's like it's new.

Right. Yeah.

COVID exacerbated. COVID exacerbated pregnancy deaths. And, you know, maternal mortality

teams, including mine before I join, we're calling this out very early on to say, look,

we're seeing increased numbers of deaths of pregnant people due to COVID.

And yet the latest data that I've seen suggests that we don't, that this is a population

that is less likely to be vaccinated.

And this is a problem, right?

And I think it's not, it's not as public.

Well, we know now that rates of hospital-acquired COVID infections are

going up, right? And so this is going to put people at risk. And you have people, you know,

you have little babies and pregnant, as well as pregnant people that are now in environments that are

not committed to protecting them from an airborne respiratory disease.

What are we doing here?

Also, yeah, the most current CDC COVID data on vaccine coverage for pregnant people in terms of updated booster,

bivalent booster coverage is only 22.9%, which is, it's very, very incredibly small.

So it's incredibly low. And so, you know, I think we really call for greater attention.

One is what the things that we can do. And I think, you know, one,

one thing that really sticks out to me about this is that, you know, I don't even want to

say, because clearly there are people are still acquiring and dying from AIDS, right? But during
