And can you talk a little bit about, you know, some of the politics that underlie the work,

0:12.5

you know, how you think about health and capitalism, how you all think about policing,

0:18.0

borders, austerity, state abandonment. And then also can you talk about

0:21.8

how this analysis informs or doesn't inform your practice? Yeah. So as I said, a lot of us believe that

0:32.4

the work we're doing now is going to be so important as we continue to disrupt the state. And for

0:39.5

other groups that want to do similar work, it is so important that you very clearly state your

aid is about community meeting the day-to-day needs of others in our community. And this is the

1:25.1

foundational basis of organizing that the Black Panthers

1:28.4

described to. If everyone is healthy, and if everyone has their needs met, and if everyone is

1:34.8

thriving, then all of us can better organize, which benefits the whole. And my definition of

1:41.5

health is very similar to how you describe health and health communism.

1:46.0

So this is where the reciprocity comes into play.

1:49.0

Basically, what we are saying is, hey, neighbor, I want you to be as thriving and happy as we are so that we can organize alongside each other.

1:59.0

And I'm stronger when you can organize alongside me,

2:02.4

if that makes sense. I think our joy doesn't have to be dependent on the systems that we are resisting.
