Hello, my dear friends, it's Sally Clarkson, and I am so glad you joined me today. I am finally back. I think last week was the first time, or maybe one of the first times where I just didn't do a podcast at all. I did one for you, obviously, but it wasn't a prepared one in maybe five or six years.

So I decided I need to really make up for it today. But Clay and I celebrated our 44th anniversary, and we were in the mountains, took a lot of beautiful pictures. It's just so gorgeous in the place

that we were. And it just passed too quickly because I haven't had a time alone with him

in over 10 years where we just were away by ourselves on a little vacation. So it was lots and

lots of fun. I hope that you are doing well

and that you've had time to celebrate life a little bit in this past season. Well, I'm going to jump

into our lesson today because it's a little bit longer than some of my podcasts, but I'm telling you, I have really, really been so encouraged by me having to study and organize and put together the outlines for the fruit of the spirit.

Because I think that what we can really see in this particular passage when it says the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Paul was trying to train the Galatians.

He was trying to give them a vision for when you are filled with the spirit, when you are being

sensitive to what the spirit would teach you through the Word of God. The Word of God in my mind

is the vocabulary that the Holy Spirit uses. So when we go back and we look at all of these

passages, one of them that Jesus had was, I am humble or I am gentle and meek.

Learn from me.

And you will find peace for your souls.

And so Jesus said it.

Paul said it, and I'll tell you a little bit of more about that later.

But they wanted,
