We're wrapping up the position preview series today with tight ends.

Though I will admit, I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I had coffee seven straight days before Wednesday's episode with Rich. And for some reason, I don't know why, but I chose that to be the day to stop. So if I was a little lower energy in that episode, I don't know, I haven't gone back and listen, but if I was, that would explain it. Either way, I got my energy back today without the help of caffeine this time. And we're finishing off the position preview series with Andrew Erickson, a pro football focus. He's gone in depth on a ton of tight end preview articles this off season. So we're going to pick his brain about those. Before we bring him in, though, the usual reminder. offseason you know finding my way earning a full-time gig you know doing as much research as I can for this moment to redeem myself. So I hope everybody's ready. We all have our misses. I hope he didn't lose too much sleep over it. Normally we kick off the show and we go over a couple of news items, but there hasn't been that much news that's come out shockingly over the last few days training camps

just getting underway players gotten back in the field in the last couple of days here and i'm just

trying not to overreact to every single little news item that does come out with from the beat

writers and stuff because we've been so starved for football news over the last few months that

i think people are kind of over-eager when they see a

small tidbit get mentioned. Because guess what? Every coach loves every player this time of year. Every player thinks they're about to have a career year. You can't get too excited about this stuff. So we've got to keep our eyes and ears open. Absolutely. We've got to wade through this coach speak. we're going to make sure we're talking about all the important stuff as it trickles out,

and I just don't think there's really been enough of it

and my recommendation pretty much every august is don't freak out about every rhodo world blurb that

you see but especially in 2020 because i think everyone's heightened and so excited and there's not

that much to go on yet so don't overreact to stuff. So we're going to skip the news section today. We're going to dive right into tight ends, which is a really interesting position this year. There's a couple of elite options at the top. And then there's just this really deep well of potential breakout guys that you can choose from. I'm really excited to talk about them.
