And now we're to give you everything you need to know about tight ends with a man who I've noticed is pretty good at breaking down the tight end position.

0:48.1

It's Andrew Erickson of fantasy pros.

0:50.2

He's on Twitter or X at Andrew Erickson underscore.

1:15.0

And I think I first noticed his tight end breakdowns. I think it was when he used to work for pro football focus. Now he's doing his thing over at Fantasy Pros, but he finished to the top of the accuracy rankings for tight ends last year. So he definitely has some insight on the position. You can trust me there. Let's bring a mid. I've waited too long here. Andrew, welcome back to the show, man. How you doing, dude? Dude, I'm doing absolutely great. We are here recording mid-August, you know, about a month away from the season kicking

off with Lions and Chiefs. And I'm so excited to talk about everybody's favorite position.

1:25.4

I know that you've gone over the QBs and the running backs.

1:27.9

I mean, the tight ends, this is when you get your popcorn out because this is how you make or break your team. Like if you draft the wrong tight end, you get a bust tight end, you're in trouble. So we got to help the people out here. Well, here's the thing too. Like when I was thinking about the fact that I remembered reading your breakdowns for tight end a few years ago and stuff.

1:45.2

I realized, I was like, wait a minute, what a fool I am. I just traded you a tight end in our Dynasty League yesterday. And it made a lot of sense for both teams. I mean, it's in the Fantasy Pro's Dynasty League, which I have to say, there's a caveat. I've won it three of the last four years. I've Always got to mention that when we bring it up. But Andrew's team is a real contender this season. He needed tight end help. I had George Kittle and David and Joku and Kate Otten, I believe, as well, sort of like the young developmental guy. I sent Andrew and Joku. I got back Isaiah Pacheco. I have some question marks at running back.

2:18.9

I have Josh Jacobs and his holdout situation to deal with. So I'm happy with the deal.

2:23.7

I think you are too. We both had depth at those spots that we dealt. And I think it's rare when

2:29.2

you can make a trade that actually improves both teams. It's ideal if it can happen. And I think that's what we did

2:35.2

yesterday. Well, I think that's the advantage you have of just taking into consideration what you're

2:40.2

trading for and finding good trade partners. You know, it shouldn't be, oh, I'm trying to beat this

2:44.9

person in the trade. You know, if your team got better and my team got better, then we just got

2:50.1

the edge over the 10 other teams in the Fannie's 90 Dynasty League. You know, that should be the goal here. And that's something you should always keep in mind when you're making trades is try to find a way for both of you to improve and for the other teams in your league looking at like, oh, man, like I need to start making trades to make my team better. So yeah, I think it worked out for the most of us. I think you and I have a history of making deals in that league, too, and hopefully this isn't one of them. But we have a history of making deals where, like, neither of us actually benefit. Like, we trade like, yeah, we trade players like an old, you know, David Johnson or a Curtis Samuel. we just kind of swap them at the bottom of our roster and then neither guy does anything and we end up dropping them.

3:26.1

So hopefully this isn't one of those cases. or a Curtis Samuel, we just kind of swap them at the bottom of our roster and then neither
