I hope that you're doing well.

I know it's not been easy,

and that you are concerned with the health of family members and friends,

as well as this pandemic's economic impact. I'm right there with you. Like you, I have

people in my life who are vulnerable because of their age or because they are immunocompromised.

Some of these people are first responders, and when I hear their stories, it brings what we're

facing one step closer to home.

Yet I don't allow powerlessness to overwhelm me.

I remind myself that by staying in place, not buying more than I need,

reaching out and connecting to others and even continuing to produce this podcast allows me to play

a small role in combating this pandemic's impact on all of us. It may not feel as significant

as what doctors, nurses, EMTs, and even the clerks that my local market are doing.

But I believe that it's still important.

Because I'm one of countless people who together are not succumbing to fear and despair,

anger, and resentment. I'm a member of a worldwide community of people who believe that together
