Before we get started today, I wanted to announce that a couple of months ago, I did an interview with Colin Westerbeck in which we announced a competition for street photography

and I provided a link to a website that wasn't active at the time of the release of the episode.

for the competition which can end up with your images

being published in a book of street photography curated by Colin Westerbach.

Now, one of the gifts of doing the podcast and just being in the

photographic industry for as long as I have been is the fact that I've made some wonderful,

wonderful friendships. And today's guest, Lori Rubin, is one of those people. I've known her

for a long time through a mutual friend, Don Gale, who regrettably passed away some years ago.

But through my work at the magazines like Outdoor Photographer and Better Photo,

I've had wonderful opportunities to talk to Lori, to shoot alongside of her,

and as well as to learn about a lot of the amazing software

plugins from Mac Fun and Nick and her work at Google has provided me some

wonderful opportunities to learn to practice photography and just enjoy good

company because she's a sweetheart and she's a real gym and a real gift

not only personally but to anyone who knows her who works who's had the opportunity to work

with her you know you're in for a real pleasurable time and and just she's just a

wonderful lady I really can't say enough good things about her.
