So Tasha, tell them a little bit about yourself. There you go. Hi, so I am a scientist. Yes, science. Yes. I study in neurodegeneration over at UT Southwestern. |
| 1:13.0 | That's right. |
| 1:14.0 | So we study things like Alzheimer's, frontal temporal dementia, Parkinson's. Wow. I might need to holler at you later talk about those things. Yeah? I got that gene. Which one? The Alzheimer's one. The Alzheimer's one? He forgot what it was. Don't know. It's the Alzheimer's. It's in there. The Alzheimer's is already working. My grandpa got me. Oh, no. You deal with all that stuff and brain, all that. I do. Not in humans. I don't see any patients, but I will work with some mice brains and we do culture cells that will have like the proteins for the disease that we'll look at. I don't even look at mice brains. You got to dissect it. You dissect them, okay. Yes. Okay. I didn't know if you could like hook them up with a little like. You can't. So there are different studies where you can do that where you can implant electrodes and study them as they're living. Wow. What I do is I actually will take out the individual neurons so that way you can look at it under a microscope. So I do have to dissect out their brains. I take apart certain parts that brain you want to live. What an interesting job you have. Wow, that is really crazy. That's a very scientific question. Go ahead, Al. Do you have one of those white coats? I do. It has my name embroidered on it. Wow. That's cool. What's a say on there? It says my name and then my lab's name and the center I work at. That's awesome. My girl's smart and got a lap coat. Yay. |
