Hope you guys are having a good morning so far. I thought I would take a minute just to quickly update on what's been

happening in court with Tanner Horner since the feed has been off since Friday. We will resume

tomorrow at 10 a.m. and I'll be live streaming, so come join us. I have to say, as far as the

defense case, I don't think I'm going to go as in depth with the defense case in my

recaps just because I really don't want to peddle these excuses as to why an evil man may have

abducted and killed a seven-year-old. They're going to blame everything from his childhood on,

and that's their job because he's up for the death penalty.

However, I don't want to hear it.

So look for more broad updates during the defense case, but again, live streaming every day so you guys can come watch.

So what's been going on since court's been dark?

They have been busy vetting expert witnesses that the defense expects to call during their case.

Yesterday, the defense called four expert witnesses, a psychologist, two doctors whose

specialties are environmental toxins and also a pediatrician. Each one of those witnesses evaluated Tanner

independently and concluded he has significant underlying health

and developmental issues that started long before he killed Athena. They discussed several

different diagnosis like fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. This is when obviously a mother

drinks while pregnant and the baby is exposed to the alcohol.

The witness said it can affect brain and organ development. So what are the symptoms of this?

As far as physical, small head size, definitely not the case here.

Low birth weight or poor growth. Distinct facial features like a thin upper lip and small eye openings, not seeing that here,
