already, I am married to Daryl. We've been married for 28 years. We have eight kids, ages 13 to 27.

We have four grandkids, and we've been homeschooling for over 22 years. A few weeks ago,

I was speaking to a group of moms up in Massachusetts and one particular

family, the family that invited us up, their kids all listened to the podcast with their

mom.

And so they had that whole intro memorized.

And I was thinking to myself, maybe I should change that.

But someone advised that I don't, so I'm going to leave it.

please come. So years ago, when my husband and I were first parenting,

we went to a Sunday school class, and it was fantastic. We went through the book,

Shepherding a Child's Heart, and it had a great impact, very positive impact, on how we decided

to parent our kids. Not long after that, another book

came out called Don't Make Me Count to Three. And that was kind of what we sort of consider

the practical guide or handbook to shepherding a child's heart. And so whenever I hear that title, I love it.

I just always want to say it in a southern drawl.

Don't make me count to three, you know.
