Good morning. This is my first time here at Sociology 101 to be doing a live broadcast at the

invitation of a local church. And so I want to especially welcome those from Lighthouse Mission

Church. And I am broadcasting this live on their Facebook page and appreciate all of you gathering

in this very unusual time that we have during

a pandemic, kind of a unique situation for all of us. And I just want to say that praying for you

and your family, as I know that you hopefully will be praying for mine, that we will stay safe

during these times. And as we broadcast today, keeping in mind that we're going to during these times and as we broadcast today

keeping in mind that we're going to be talking about some subjects that are somewhat

contentious within the church and has been for really 1500 years within the Christian

church and because of that it's a sensitive topic and therefore can cause people to get a little

bit riled up a a little bit angry.

And one thing that I've hoped to do in the broadcast at Sociology 101 as well as when I talk to

local churches like Lighthouse is to say that this is a secondary issue, meaning that it is not

something that I think that a church has to split over

or that individuals within the church have to become so contentious with one another,

they can't worship, that they can't do evangelism together. I have said many times that I have

people who disagree with me on the subject of sociology with regard to Calvinism and

provisionism and some of the things

that we're going to talk about this morning.

But nevertheless, we all have one hope and that hope is in Christ Jesus and we can unite

around that unity together.
