Welcome to Sochiology 101 live. And as you can see, we have our resident Greek scholar with us today, Dr. Brian Wagner, which he loves when I talk about his credentials and his doctorate and everything else. But no, to be to acquiesce to his request, we will call him Brian and he will call me Layton as we should.

But we're going to be critiquing today an article by Dr. Daniel Wallace.

And one of the reasons I chose to do this was because some listeners sent me a link to it.

But I've also recently got a couple of messages on YouTube that I was reading

through, which probably is a mistake on my side to even read through some of those comments.

But I was reading through some of the comments and a few of them made comments about why don't

you have any heavy hitters on your program. And I have a standing invitation to quote unquote

any heavy hitters that would like to come out of the program.

If John Piper, for example, or even Dr. Wallace or any notable Calvinists would like to come to the program, they have a standing invitation.

Just pass that on to them if you have a way of getting insight to them.

I just don't have many that are interested, I guess, in having a discussion, but I welcome

them.

But this is to answer some of that critique, because I don't think there's probably anybody

who could say that Dr. Wallace is not one of the heaviest of the heaviest hitters with

regard to Calvinist doctrine because he is a well-known

Greek scholar. In fact, Brian, what's your knowledge of Dr. Wallace within?

Oh, yes. I mean, he is the go-to guy as far as, you know, talking about more evangelical fundamental textual criticism and his

work that he's doing on preserving texts is phenomenal. And then his, his grammar is the,

is the one that most schools use in our circles for intermediate Greek is beyond the basics grammar.

So he is, would be considered a heavy hitter.

They're from DTS.

He's a New Testament scholar, a Greek scholar.
