I'm Ryan Mink, here with Garrett Downing,

and we are going to share our perspective as Jesse Minter continues to build out his coaching staff,

starting with the first major hire at offensive coordinator with Declan Doyle.

He has also reportedly hired his defensive coordinator with Declan Doyle. He has also reportedly hired his defensive

coordinator with Anthony Weaver as well as four assistant coaches. So Garrett, let's start with

Declan Doyle. This is a huge hire. As soon as Jesse Minter was named the Ravens head coach,

everybody said, well, who's going to be the offensive coordinator? Because that's a big one with Jesse's defensive background. There's a lot to like with this Declan Doyle hire. Yeah, I'm really excited about this move. I agree with you. I think that this was probably the biggest initial decision that Jesse Miner had to make after being hired as the head coach. And this was a position that I'm sure garnered plenty of interests around the league. You get a chance to coach Lamar Jackson and Derek Henry and work with Jesse Minter, who's a great defensive coach. I'm sure there's a lot of people interested in this. And the Ravens talked with a number of candidates over the course of their process and looking for a head coach, who also could have been candidates for the offensive coordinator role. They talked to Cliff Kingsbury. They talked to Nate Shieldhouse

in L.A. They talked to Davis Webb out in Denver. Joe Brady. Who ultimately became the head coach

of the bills. They talked to Mike McDaniel, who went out to Los Angeles. So they talked to a lot of

different coaches who could have potentially stepped in as the

offensive coordinator. Ultimately, they go with Declan Doyle, who is a really interesting, intriguing

hire, who is one of the best up-and-coming coaches in the league. And I think that he is going to be

somebody that Ravens fans are really excited to have. Obviously, one of the biggest thing that jumps out from Declan Doyle's resume is his age.

At 29 years old, he was the youngest offensive coordinator in the NFL last year.

He's one of the youngest offensive coordinators in recent history.

The other two guys were Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVey, the only guys that were younger.

They pretty good coaches.

They work out.

Not bad. Not bad.

And so 29, you're like, wow, man, this guy is a fast riser in the coaching profession.
