Welcome to the Zoe Church podcast. Before we begin today's message, just want to take a second to thank everybody who gives through ties and offerings to Zoe Church. We cannot thank you enough. I'm excited for today's message. We are starting a brand new series entitled Talk of the Town out of Mark Chapter 5. The title of today's message is

Talk Your Talk. Okay, Mark Chapter 5, we're starting a brand new series today called Talk of the Town.

Talk of the Town. We're going to be in Mark Chapter 5 today. And we're starting a series that we're going to talk about freedom

and forgiveness. Freedom and forgiveness. And we're going to talk about your life, your sphere of

influence matters. God has given you a sphere of influence and has given you a call to make a difference in

people's life. In order for us to do that, we have to receive the freedom and the forgiveness

that Jesus offers to us. And so we're going to take a couple weeks to dive into this series. I'm

excited for it. I think this is going to be a game changer for our church. I'm excited to talk about

freedom and forgiveness. The life that you want to live is a free and forgiving life that comes

only through Jesus. And in order to make an impact that lasts in somebody's life,

an influential impact, you first got to be free and you first got to be forgiven. So we're

going to look at Mark chapter 5, verses 1 through 20. You are going to get your Bible reading in

this morning. We start the story, verse one. They arrived on the other side

of the sea in the country of the garrisons. As Jesus got out of the boat, a madman, other

translations say a demon-possessed man from the cemetery came up to him. He lived there

among the tombs and graves. No one could restrain him. He couldn't be

chained. He couldn't be tied down. He had been tied up many times with chains and ropes, but he

broke them. No one was strong enough to tame him. Night and day, he roamed through the graves and the

hills, screaming out and

slashing himself with sharp stones. This is not a horror film. I know it's like if you're like

your first time, you're like, dude, what are we talking about? Don't worry, we're going to dive

into it. When he saw Jesus a long way off, he ran and bowed in worship before him.
