In 24 hours and 36 minutes, the sky of the three-thought library here in Austin will darken as the totality of the eclipse blots out the sun.

If we turn to our Bibles, Matthew 2429 states that after the entirety of the tribulations, the sun will darken. The moon will not give her light.

The stars will fall from the heavens and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

The tribulations, of course, referring to the prophecies of war, famine and false prophets as

given by Jesus.

So with this apocalyptic sign coming so close to Easter, with wars the likes we've not seen for 80 years and a once in a century plague just behind us,

with lightning and earthquakes, striking our most popular cities, are we in the

end times? Will the sun of man come down in power, as said in verse 30? Will the world end,

and Jesus come to save the faithful? Or is it all just Barnum statements and coincidence? Wars, famines,

pestilences, earthquakes, lightning storms are all actually quite common, pretty mundane, really.

And there's no shortage of people saying that they have the power of prophecy, only to be proven to be false.
