Well, howdy there, internet people, it's bell again.

So today, we're going to talk about Tucker Carlson apologizing for supporting Trump in the 25th Amendment.

On Monday, the well-known conservative commentator surprised a lot of people by publicly apologizing

for the role he played in bringing Trump to power. Tucker Carlson's younger brother Buckley

started off with quote, The 25th Amendment is there for a reason. It's not crazy to talk about it in this context.

If our country is suffering great and lasting damage, which it seems to be, then sober minds need to

come in and exercise what power they have for the benefit of all of us. Tucker took it further and implied they shared in the

guilt for Trump's actions and said, quote, I mean you and I and everyone else who supported him.

You wrote speeches for him. I campaigned for him. I mean, we're implicated in this for sure.

It's not enough to say, well, I changed my mind. Or like, oh, this is bad. I'm out.

He went on to say, quote, so I do think it's like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences.

We'll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be. And I want to say, I'm sorry for misleading people.

It was not intentional. That's all I'll say. Okay, so the obvious questions coming in are about

why this is happening all of a sudden. First, it's not really all of a sudden. We've

talked for quite some time about how Trump is entering his lame duck phase. For many he's no longer useful. But with

Tucker, and this is personal opinion, I think there's two things at play. First is that

Tucker has really only been consistent about one thing. Ever since Iraq, he was

anti-interventionist. He supported Iraq, and he was one of the

only conservatives to come out and say, hey, we got this one wrong. I actually believe that's a

genuine position he holds. So the unnecessary elective war in Iran that isn't well planned and based on

shifting reasons, probably genuinely doesn't sit well with him. But there's another thing that might be

at play. People like Tucker cast themselves as anti-establishment figures.
