We have one tale tonight, but before we dive in,

I'd like to let you know about something special we've got brewing for the new year.

For the last several years, our intrepid fiction editor, Meredith Morganstern, has spearheaded

our celebration of Women in Horror Month.

She's shared histories, promoted a diversity of established and emerging

voices, and explored the varied and often tumultuous experience of what it means to be a woman

writing in the horror genre. This year, we've got something just a little different plan for you,

and we need your help.

We're looking for some fresh, never-before-heard voices, unpublished women and women identifying

writers willing to share their darkest shadows with us throughout Women in Horror Month.

We'll be holding a special submissions period starting in a couple of weeks,

so stay tuned to our social media.
