This is Tales to Terrify. Good evening, children of the night, and welcome.

We have one longer tale for you this evening, about a company with ancient roots who serves some very thirsty clients. Our story tonight comes to us from Jason Sabah.

Jason Sabah was born and raised in New England, where he currently resides with his wife

and two children.

His short story, Back Door to Paradise, was featured on the Kaidunkai Ghosts and Supernatural Stories podcast in August, 2023.

And his short story, preview, was published in the anthology, Learning to Be Human by Flame Tree Publishing in January

2024.

He is currently seeking representation for his debut novel.

The Last Fair to Essex,

A Tales to Terrify Original. Edward Gale leaned over the railing of the ferry.

It was an old ferry, not much to look at, much like Edward himself.

He had aged as best a man could, but he was 68, things were drooping, things were sore. Edward had never thought much of the Port Jefferson Ferry. It wasn't a particularly picturesque ride, but that afternoon he drank in the

view of the Long Island Sound. The ferry didn't save Edward any time on his route, but it meant less time on the road,

less of a chance to be pulled over or get into an accident.
