It was an old ferry, not much to look at, much like Edward himself.

He had aged as best a man could, but he was 68, things were drooping, things were sore. Edward had never thought much of the Port Jefferson Ferry. It wasn't a particularly picturesque ride, but that afternoon he drank in the

view of the Long Island Sound. The ferry didn't save Edward any time on his route, but it meant less time on the road,
