Well, children of the night, it's time to wrap up this year's Women in Horror Month here

at Tales to Terrify. This year, I've had the pleasure of introducing

you to four lovely ladies whose siren songs will lure you into dark and disturbing places.

Last but certainly not least, here's Woman in Horror Number Four.

Mariah Darling is an activist dedicated to bringing awareness

to issues affecting queer and trans people of color. She recently released her first book,

a splatterpunk suspense novella, co-authored by Eve Harms, the author of Transmuted,

A Body Horror Tale We Are Big Fans of.

The book, recently released by Unnerving, is titled Chasers.

It tells the story of Lenora, a black trans woman and musician, who escapes a hostile housing

situation and moves into a new apartment. She's finally feeling safe,

but all that changes when she finds a peephole in her living room that looks into the apartment

of her erratic and elusive neighbor. Next door is the makeshift set of a gruesome and

mysterious cam show that leads her into a world more brutal and depraved
