Hope the holidays have been keeping you well and truly chilled,

and that you've been finding plenty of time to spend with family, friends, and fiends alike.

Myself, I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on a little reading.

I've had no lack of dark fiction piling up in my To Be Red pile,

so I'm hoping to get through at least a few.

Overall, the holidays are a perfect time to take a load off and relax.

That self-care is so important for your mental health, after all.

It's also something the woman in our story tonight knows all too well. But when faced with a difficult

guest at the massage parlor where she works, things take a decidedly disturbing turn. Our story this

evening comes to us from Chris Curiazza. Chris Curiazza lives in the Niagara region.

His short fiction about home-invading bears, whale-hunting clowns, and time-traveling kittens

has appeared in many fine publications.

His novel, Sacrifice of the Sisters Lot, was published by Palimpset Press in October

2003.
