1:00.9	During the Fourth of July weekend, I had a ton of free time, and I dedicated it to reading.

1:10.3	I finally wrapped up Clan of the Cave Bear by Gene M. R.L.
1:16.3	That book is certainly no weekend read. It's lengthy, and it's also made my list of favorites.
1:22.8	It's well written, well researched, and maintains its thematics with consistency.
1:27.2	The story also focuses on European
1:29.4	early modern humans, which those folks don't get a lot of representation and fiction. It's an area
1:35.2	of personal fascination as well. So Homo sapiens, that's us. I've been around for about 400,000
1:43.3	years, and that's from very generous theories.
1:46.4	If you didn't know this, we aren't the only humans that have lived on this planet.
1:50.7	How about those cousins of ours, Homo erectus?
1:54.1	Those people had a run of two million years, two million years, and barely got to simple tools and fire.
