they can also enjoy the journey. You see, we're all

travelers in this world, and God has many wonderful truths to teach us along the way. For the next

few moments, we turn our attention to the Word of God, the only roadmap for this journey. You'll find

Join us now as we study the scriptures together. was sharing his testimony that he's lost everything to gain everything. He lost

all of him to find all of Christ. As a matter of fact, we pick up our reading in Philippians

chapter 3 and verse 9 where he says, and be found in him, not having my own righteousness which is of

the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of

Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith that I may know him, and the power of

his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death.

Now, stop just a minute. The Apostle Paul is somewhere between maybe

65 to 67 years of age when he writes this. That means he's been saved for more than 35 years.

And what is his great passion and purpose and pursuit? It is this, that I may know him. Paul said,

I want to know Christ in a greater way. You see,

salvation is not the end, it's just the beginning. If all there is to it is trusting Christ as your Savior,

and the best thing that can happen to you is the moment you pray to receive Christ as Savior

is that you die and go straight to heaven. But that's not it. No, friend,

that day you entered into the family of God, but now you're to grow in that family. On that day,

you began the journey, but now you're to make the journey with the Lord Jesus. I'm thinking of

John Bunyan's famous classic book on pilgrims' progress.
