The Welcome to Faith is. I'm Pastor Rick Stevens, and this is the place where faith is absolute confidence in the trustworthiness of God.

And here we try to grow in God's direction, to stretch toward his high calling, to be the people he wants us to be.

And we want to grow in our faith and our understanding of God and

we want to apply that faith to the world we live in specifically the issues of the day our political

decisions we have to make all of the things can be viewed and should be viewed by Christians through the lens of the Bible, through the lens of our Christian faith.

And so we try to do that here along with, and we'll get to this as well, some study of the Bible and telling the story of Jesus so that we all kind of track along with that as well.

I think it's all important.

I don't really try to make one thing more important than another,

because I think it's all part of our responsibility before God as good citizens

to understand the world around us and to live that out in our decision making, in our voting,

in our conversations. And I had a conversation just this morning with some people about a political

decision that we have to make here in Florida. And so we're trying to gather all that just to

just to think out loud about these things and to just make ourselves better

followers of Christ and better citizens of this country so we're going to talk about that a

little bit we're going to revisit the rededication that was conducted last Sunday on the

national mall significant moment in the nation's life, and an important

event for us as Christians to notice and to talk about. We're going to talk about a little dust up that

took place on apparently a cable news show. I didn't see it, but I heard about it and went and looked at it and

thought, you've got to be kidding me. And so we want to remind ourselves of a foundational truth. And so we've got to make sure we begin to understand

those foundational things. We're going to talk about how to cultivate this idea of confidence

in God or personal faith and take that a little bit of a step at a time. And a friend of mine, another minister, wrote a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit that a little bit of a step at a time and a friend of mine
