I'm Ryan Mink, joined by Garrett Downing,

and we have our takeaways from the second week of Ravens OTAs.

Lamar Jackson was the headline of the week,

arrived here for OTAs,

and really took the next step in starting to install this offense,

gaining more familiarity.

Familiarity, there's the word, with his offensive coordinator, Declan Doyle, of course,

also with head coach Jesse Minner.

And anytime Lamar's around, there's always another level of excitement in this building.

So, Garrett, we heard from him

after Wednesday's practice. What did you hear from Lamar in terms of where he's at with all these

changes in the building? Well, I think, first of all, I would say this, like, it was twofold. It was

seeing him and hearing from him. And Lamar has been around a lot this offseason. He's been a pretty constant presence in this building throughout the offseason program. But today was different in the sense that it was open. It was a public practice for the media. And so reporters were able to be there and able to see him at practice. And, like, there is a different energy when he's out there. He's a starting quarterback. He's one of the best players in the league. And so guys feed off of that. He's, he's a leader of this team. And so like you can feel the difference when he's on the field. And I thought that was the case out there on the practice field. And then we heard from him. And this is the first time that he's talked since last season ended.

And this has been the most significant offseason of change in Baltimore, probably since Lamar arrived here in 2018.

Yep.

And new coaching staff, the departure of Harbaugh, the arrival of Jesse Mentor and this

coaching staff, like it's the most significant era of change since Lamar's been in the NFL.

Even, yeah, since he's, yes, certainly since he's coming to the NFL, even when they drafted

Lamar, that was a big kind of franchise altering move.

But Joe Flacko was the starter at the beginning of that 2018 season, right?

So it was like a delayed change, like slow release there.
