It's no secret that my favorite thing to do is to go out for lunch. I love to go out with friends. I love to go out with my husband. I love to go out on my own. Take some time for me and spend some quality time with me.

And as I talk about this, just in real life with people I know, they always go, oh, I want to try that.

I want to do that. As if taking yourself on a date is something that's, ooh, kind of a bit glamorous or kind of a bit special or it should be a reward for something.

Well, my friends, I'm reading you this passage from Let It Be Easy Today called

Take Yourself Out to Lunch and I hope you make some time to do this, whether it's this week,

this month, whenever you can.

You're allowed to do something nice for yourself because you want to, not because you've

earned it. A while back, I started doing this, taking myself to lunch, and I don't tell anyone

where I'm going. It's part of the thrill. Treating yourself is a very overlooked way to spend some quality time

and congratulate yourself for what you've been doing well. Think about it. Have you been a loyal

friend? Have you been showing up as a parent or employee even when you don't feel like it. Did you finally let go of a grudge?

Did you take a risk? Have you learned something lately? Have you exercised some courage and done

some scary things in order to move forward in your life?

I see you.

I celebrate you.

Have a glass of bubbles or an aromatic tea, a delicious salad and say it with me.

Your name, I am so proud of you for.

Lean back. Enjoy an hour to yourself just with you. There won't be a better

moment in your future to do this because this day, this moment is your life.
