Okay. Well it's my show today and I'd like to talk about something that maybe long time

listeners to the podcast will be familiar with and that is

something I'm drawing from

Matthew B. Crawford and his book Shop Class as Soulcraft.

I was recently approached by a publisher

and asked to submit a proposal

for a kind of Christian version of this book.

In many ways this book is already a Christian book and since he wrote the book Crawford has become a Christian.

When he wrote the book originally I think he was just kind of an interesting sort of

independent thinker and a guy who was coming out of a background that's a

little similar to mine. He grew up in Berkeley, California, I think his parents

taught at Berkeley and he grew up in a commune and he you

you know sort of you know like teenagers do revolted but the problem is is when your parents are
