| 0:03.0 | I think a lot of people think that you have to wait hours or even days to know how you feel after you eat when it takes an hour like you mentioned. Hi, guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Real Foodology podcast. Today's episode is kind of a bonus episode. It's not a traditional podcast episode of mine. I'm actually being interviewed by a woman named Mary Viarta. She had asked me a couple months ago if I would speak on this virtual summit that she was having. It's called heal your chronic illness and take your life back. |
| 0:54.8 | And she had a lot of really amazing nutrition and experts on speaking about various things. |
| 1:00.7 | And I loved this interview so much that I asked her for permission to release it as a podcast |
| 1:07.0 | episode because I really wanted you guys to hear it. We go a little bit into my background, |
| 1:12.2 | how I kind of got started. We address things like how to figure out what's going on in your body, |
| 1:20.6 | what maybe different things are going on and how you can proceed forward and figuring that out |

| 1:34.2 | and how to protect yourself, what to take, what nutrients, foods, supplements, et cetera, |

| 1:46.0 | Did you know that most cookware and appliances are made with forever chemicals? |
| 1:50.0 | Yes, that means your nonstick pans, your air fryers, your waffle makers, your blender could possibly have PIFs. |
| 1:57.0 | And yes, even our beloved crockpots and pressure cookers. I have actually been talking |
| 2:02.0 | about this for so long. Back in 2006, my mom came to my dorm room and made me get rid of all my |
| 2:08.1 | nonstick pans because she was concerned about me being exposed to something called Teflon. |
| 2:13.5 | Teflon is a coating that is used on nonstick pans and a lot of these appliances that I just named. |
| 2:18.4 | So I've avoided Teflon, nonstick PFA coated appliances, pots and pans, you name it, for a very long time. |
| 2:27.2 | And the only option for a very long time was just stainless steel pots and pans. |
| 2:32.5 | So I was really excited when a company like Our Place came out |
| 2:36.1 | because they started creating really beautiful cookware and appliances that are like pieces of art. |
| 2:42.4 | Every appliance that I have from Our Place, I legit want to store it on the counter. |
