Summary

This Friday episode opens with a discussion on the proliferation of craft burger places, as well as the amusement over the animated Andy that appeared in the big Golf Digest article featuring him. Then they get to the Palmetto Championship, where Brendan’s one-and-done pick, Monday qualifier Tain Lee, is on absolute fire. They discuss, with moderate confusion, the Pomona colleges where he went and put all Shotgunners officially on #TainWatch for the rest of the week. Andy scours the bottom of the leaderboard with disgust, highlighting the bushels of players that should have been bounced for KFT talents. There are also some reports from the ground about the excellent conditioning. News hits on our first social media video of the rough at Torrey Pines, which leads to a proposal that all OEMs be banned from event grounds. Precision Pro Flashback Friday takes you down the path of a South Carolina resident that holds an impressive (or ignominious based on your point of view) record that Westy may match next week.

Of course he has started. I know they were going for this to get out from under football, but I could care less about the FedEx cup, I think.

1:27.0

But when I get through the open, I'm just like, I'm going to need to take a break from high level golf. I don't know, I think that's what it does for me.

1:36.0

When I get through the Olympics.

1:39.0

Yeah, that's true. That's true. I think we always talk about how so much fun stuff happens in Q1 when we're all like everybody's re-energized and there's just whatever, just stuff happens.

1:51.0

There's drama, there's fights, there's catty tipping scandals, things like that. I don't know. I think the FedEx cup I'm going to be done.

2:00.0

It's like watching golf for a living, but it's just like, I don't see how the FedEx cup is elevated by this at all.

2:14.0

All right. You know, I went to Wallburgers today. How about that? How about that? Was that any good?

2:23.0

It's like a Mark Wahlberg advertisement inside. There's pictures of them all over. What do you expect it to be?

2:32.0

2:43.0

What'd you expect it to be? Like Liam Neeson trying to him or somebody else, like what did you think that was going to happen?

2:50.0

I don't know. There's too many burger places out there. It feels like scrolling, regressing back to an equilibrium that's acceptable.

2:59.0

For God's sakes, proliferation in burger places was just, they all claimed to be like some sort of elevated experience and some sort of, I don't know that any jump off the page.
