of three programs where I'm going to be looking at the ingrained prejudices facing one very

large group of workers worldwide. It's a challenge that's often largely ignored,

the problem facing workers who grown old. We don't talk about skills. During the interview,

we don't talk about knowledge, we just talk about age. I've not been able to earn a living for a long time.

And there's no reason for it.

It was just very demoralising.

Yes, ageism in the workplace.

Some experts call it the last socially acceptable prejudice.

It's possibly even more entrenched in some economies

than more familiar types of discrimination.

Nobody would say, are you sure you can do this job after all?

You appear to be a woman.

My feeling is that discrimination based on age is much, much worse.
