0:07.0	Hey deserving listeners, today I'm going to answer your emails,
0:10.0	so let's get into it.
0:11.6	This first email is from an anonymous patron, she writes,
0:15.0	I'm a lesbian and my family of origin was extremely religious,
0:20.0	homophobic, and abusive. When I was 17, I ran away and I more or less have nearly no contact with my family.
0:28.0	My whole life has been extremely traumatic.
0:31.0	My attachment style is highly disorganized, and my attachment injuries are
0:35.2	painful and profound.
0:37.6	Ever since I was a young teenager, I have been attracted to fictional stories of siblings
0:42.2	becoming lovers. not simply in a sexual way, but in a romantic, truly devoted way, although I do find the sexual aspect titillating.
0:52.0	I have three sisters but I have never felt
0:55.5	attracted to them and in fact the thought of seeing my sisters that way repulses me
1:00.6	so my attraction to this narrative is completely fictional.
1:04.6	It's not something I have discussed with my therapist as I'm still learning to trust her,
1:09.4	and we're working together on developing a secure attachment.
1:13.0	How much I love this narrative is extremely shameful to me.
1:17.6	It feels like I don't have whatever instinct people have that immediately tells them that
1:22.4	it's gross. Like I'm missing some kind of
1:24.8	common sense button.
1:26.8	I want to be reassured that I'm not wrong or gross.
1:30.4	I also want to gain the ability to find it repulsive so I can be like everyone else.
