In my 19 years as a therapist I have failed my clients in a million different ways.

I have failed to pay attention. I have failed to notice something.

I have failed to be compassionate.

I have failed to meet my ethical responsibilities.

There have been so many failures.

But the most egregious failure of all is my failure to recognize my failures. If that is the most destructive of all.

If we as therapists refuse to acknowledge our failures, then that is the most destructive

failure of all.

So in this episode, I plan on reviewing all my failures as a learning exercise.
