So Livy, what have you been cooking recently? Well, as we record, we're just starting to dip into autumn and it's getting a bit colder and a bit darker.

So I've been preparing lots of soups and curries and casseroles and sticky, spicy cakes for future vintage chef recipes for The Spectator.

Well, actually, not so much eating eating but last week we had a host of

different parties here at the spectator one of which was the writers party celebrating our 190th anniversary

journalist parties famously don't have much food and this was no exception. I don't think there was any

there was a bag of popcorn open at one point but but there was basically no food, but it was...

There was a lot of drinks, so it was good fun.

Tell us about childhood food. What are your early memories of food, Fraser? I guess being involved in tussles with my mother, I was not a great
